    \u00c7e\u015fmeli-Erdemli-Silifke-Ta\u015fucu Highway Project \u00c7e\u015fmeli-K\u0131zkalesi Section starts from the \u00c7e\u015fmeli Junction of the existing Mersin-Adana-Gaziantep Highway and runs parallel to the D400 (Mersin-Antalya) State Highway north of the Erdemli and K\u0131zkalesi settlements. State Road, and ends at the K\u0131zkalesi Junction, connecting to the D400 (Mersin-Antalya) State Road. The project consists of a total of 52 km, including connecting roads.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t

    The project, which received a Positive Environmental Impact Assessment Decision on May 23, 2017, is an extension of the TAG (Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep) Highway currently in operation in the \u00c7e\u015fmeli-K\u0131zkalesi Section and will provide a highway connection between Mersin-Adana-Gaziantep-\u015eanl\u0131urfa. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t

    During the summer months in our country, traffic congestion on state and provincial roads increases significantly. This congestion is even greater on road connections to provinces such as Mersin, which is also a tourist region. Along with the increase in traffic, there is also a significant increase in traffic accidents. The number of accidents, fatalities, and injuries, which are more frequent between May and October, peak during the summer months of July, August, and September when traffic is at its heaviest. The \u00c7e\u015fmeli-Erdemli-Silifke-Ta\u015fucu Highway Project \u00c7e\u015fmeli-K\u0131zkalesi Section, which is expected to take most of the transit traffic on the existing state highway, will reduce the traffic congestion experienced on state highways during the summer months. Along with the project route, it will create an attractive alternative to existing state roads, offering transit, high-standard, comfortable, safe, and shorter travel times.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t

    B\u00f6lgedeki turizm, sanayi ve tar\u0131m\u0131n canlanmas\u0131 sa\u011flanacakt\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca sonraki etapta yap\u0131lmas\u0131 planlanan K\u0131zkalesi-Ta\u015fucu Kesiminin tamamlanmas\u0131 ile Ta\u015fucu Liman\u0131 tercih edilebilecek bir se\u00e7enek olacak b\u00f6ylece Mersin Liman\u0131n\u0131n yo\u011funlu\u011fu azalacakt\u0131r. Di\u011fer yandan 10 A\u011fustos 2024 tarihinde hizmete a\u00e7\u0131lan \u00c7ukurova Havaliman\u0131na ula\u015f\u0131mda kolayl\u0131k sa\u011flanm\u0131\u015f olacak ve b\u00f6lgedeki turizmin geli\u015fmesine katk\u0131 sa\u011flanm\u0131\u015f olacakt\u0131r. Ayr\u0131ca b\u00f6lgede Akkuyu N\u00fckleer G\u00fc\u00e7 Santralinin bulunmas\u0131ndan dolay\u0131 n\u00fcfusun yakla\u015f\u0131k 200.000 ki\u015fi artmas\u0131 ve b\u00f6lgenin geli\u015fmesi, yeni ula\u015f\u0131m \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcmlerine duyulan ihtiyac\u0131 da beraberinde getirmi\u015f ve projenin tamamlanmas\u0131 ile ihtiya\u00e7 giderilmi\u015f olacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    The \u00c7e\u015fmeli-K\u0131zkalesi Section, which will handle the majority of transit traffic on the existing state highway, will reduce travel time from up to 2.5 hours in the summer months to 18 minutes.<\/p>

    • 131.96 million TL\/year from fuel<\/li>
    • A total savings of 770.36 million TL\/year will be achieved.<\/li><\/ul>
